Solange Interviewed By Big Sister Beyonce For Interview Magazine
Solange has broken barriers with her latest album, A Seat At The Table. She captured the mix of discussing cultural issues while and she gave us the right beat to dance to. The world is definitely here for her black girl magic. You know who else is also here for it? The Superstar and Solange’s big sister, Beyonce´.
In the newest issue of Interview Magazine, Solange was chosen to be interviewed for a segment on her latest album. The contemporary-soul artist didn’t want just anyone to do the interview though, she wanted Beyonce´ to do the honors. Having grown up together, this was a chance for Beyonce´ to get to know her sister on a deeper creative level, probing Solange about her thought process and meanings around A Seat At The Table.
In the interview, it’s almost like you can kind of hear their voices as they converse. Getting to see their personalities shine, and watching Beyonce´ fan girl over her little sister, brings on a whole new love for the Knowles sisters.
After interviewing my mother and father for A Seat At The Table, it feels like full circle to have chosen my sister to interview me for @InterviewMag. Spoke about womanism, growing up in a hair salon, and choosing between "I could fall in love" and "No Me Queda Mas". It is one of my favorites to date.
