Woman Charged For Ringing Up $1,800 Worth Of Electronics For $3.70 At Walmart Self-Checkout

A Florida woman, 25-year-old Cheyenne Amber West, has been charged with several things including felony shoplifting.

According to TC Palm she was using the Walmart self-checkout and removed stickers from electronics and replaced them with clearance item stickers. it was reported that the Florida woman retrieved mainly electronics including a computer, video games, controllers, and other items.

According to the loss prevention officer at the Indian River County Walmart, West paid $1,821 less than the actual price of the items. West tried to justify her actions, stating that she could not afford the items:

"I am just trying to get gifts for my son that I cannot afford. The computer is for my husband. Since he got me a Coach purse, I figured he deserved something nice, as well.”

West was initially held at Indian River County Jail on a bail of $3,000.
