Taraji P. Henson Set To Produce And Star In Film About Emmett Till's Life

If you are unaware of Emmett Till's story he was a 14 year old African American boy who was brutally and unfairly murdered. His death ignited the civil rights movement and thanks to the queen Taraji P. Henson his story will be told on the big screen.

The actress tells @GlobalGrind, “We don’t have a start date yet, but the deal definitely has been done. That’s one [film] that I’ve been passionate about since Trayvon Martin was murdered.”

As of now the film will be titled "The Emmett Till Story," which could change as the movie progresses forward. Taraji P. Henson is set to play Emmett Till's mother, Mamie Till-Mobley. Along side Taraji producing and acting, John Singleton will be directing the film.
