This Hilariously Bad Sketch Actually Helped Police Find The Suspect

This cartoon sketch actually worked!

Local police in Lancaster Pennsylvania responded to a call regarding theft at a farmers market, according to CBS News the suspect pretended to be an employee before stealing an undisclosed amount in cash from a stand inside Central Market Feb. 6.

The witness provided a quick sketch of the suspect, and though the sketch is hilarious one of the officers actually recognized the cartoon.

Via CBS News:

"While the sketch provided by the witness may have appeared amateurish and cartoonish, it, along with the distinctive physical descriptors, jogged the memory of at least one investigator to provide a potential suspect name."

CBS News reported police are now searching for the 44-year-old suspect on 2 counts of theft.
