From filling sold–out clubs across the nation, to appearing weekly as a regular on Chelsea Lately, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings at a Las Vegas coffee house. His infectious, explosive energy onstage, insightful jokes, and family-inspired humor crosses all boundaries. In 2007, Variety magazine named Jo Koy one of the “10 Comics to Watch!”
Raised in Tacoma, Washington, Jo credits his mother for his comedic and acting talents. Encouraged by his mom, Jo participated in school talent shows and presented impromptu performances for his family and friends. This loving support led to the Las Vegas coffee house, and inspired a move to Los Angeles. In 2005, Jo hit the “opportunity of a lifetime” with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He became one of a select few ever to receive a standing ovation. Since then, he has appeared several times throughout the years. A single father, Jo Koy was inspired by his son and began working on his first Comedy Central special “Don’t Make Him Angry,” which aired in January 2009. His much– anticipated second Comedy Central special “Lights Out” aired in October 2012, and is now available on DVD.
Jo has appeared on various VH1 I Love series, as well as The Joy Behar Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, and Jamie Foxx: Laffapalooza. He is a regular headlining comedian at the world famous Improv, tours the college circuit nationwide, and performs in comedy clubs both in the U.S., and internationally.
Mencia began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the world renowned comedy club, Laugh Factory. He later showcased at The Comedy Store and became a regular, performing nightly, leading to appearances on “In Living Color,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Moesha” and “An Evening at the Improv.”
“Mind of Mencia” debuted on Comedy Central in early 2005. It became one of the strongest shows in the network’s history, averaging about 1.5 million total viewers. “Mind of Mencia” was executive produced by Carlos Mencia and Robert Morton (“Late Night with David Letterman”). Mencia starred opposite Ben Stiller in the Farrelly Brothers’ hit feature film, THEHEARTBREAK KID and OUR FAMILY WEDDING alongside America Ferrara and Forrest Whitaker.
Most recently, Mencia has gone back to his comedic roots, performing at a number of comedy venues – allowing him to share his newest material with a more intimate audience. His current tour, called the “C 4 Urself Tour,” has been making stops all around the country, performing to eager audiences.
Robert Kelly’s comedy is deeply rooted his own life and relationships which makes it honest, abrasively funny, yet refreshingly vulnerable. He has been winning over audiences for years touring clubs, colleges and theaters, including repeat performances at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival.
His one hour special Robert Kelly: Live at the Village Underground debuted on Comedy Central and is now available on Netflix. Besides being a fixture on Comedy Central, Robert plays Bam Bam in Denis Leary’s FX show Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, whose second season will air this summer. He can also be seen as Louie CK’s brother Robbie on the hit series Louie. His other acting credits include roles in Trainwreck, Maron, Benders, Nurse Jackie and Inside Amy Schumer. Robert currently hosts the top rated podcast “You Know What Dude?” that can be found on iTunes. Robert is also the co-founder of the RiotCast podcasting Network.
Only 22 years old, Leonard Ouzts is a distinct rising voice in the world of stand up comedy. A native of Virginia, his southern upbringing shaped his down to earth, observational comedic style. Leonard was most recently selected as a NEW FACE at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. Aside from performing stand up around the country, he recently has made his television debut on Gotham Comedy Live. Leonard is also the host of the web-series Camedians, directed by Christian Charles.
