Kodak Black

Kodak Black is and American hip hop artist born in Pompano Beach, Florida. Kodak comes from Haitian descent and was raised in a public housing project by his mother. In 2009 he joined a rap group “Brutal Yungenz” under the name “J-Black”, he then joined a group called “The Kolyons”. In 2015 the artist Drake posted a video of himself dancing to Kodak Black’s single “Skrt” which ignited Kodak’s popularity. Kodak then signed a deal with Atlantic Records that very same month. Kodak has said the he has been influenced by rappers such as Chief Keef and Boosie Badazz. Kodak is still putting out great hits today, like “There He Go.”, and “Too Many Years.”
