MIAMI, FL – APRIL 27: Chipotle restaurant workers fill orders for customers on the day that the company announced it will only use non-GMO ingredients in its food on April 27, 2015 in Miami, Florida. The company announced, that the Denver-based chain would not use the GMO’s, which is an organism whose genome has been altered via genetic engineering in the food served at Chipotle Mexican Grills.

Chipotle's positive press coverage is almost non-existent. The popular Mexican food chain that had a huge upset with salmonella poisoning; recently had a store close in Virginia due to a food poisoning issue, and is  now facing their most recent incident on the roster, rats falling from the ceiling in a Dallas store.

NBCDFW was able to talk to one of the customers, Daniela Ornelas , who saw the guacamole loving rats.

“If we would have been sitting at the table next to that it definitely would have fell on top of our food because it was literally right there. I just kept wondering what it was and I kept looking around until I looked at the floor and I saw three rats and I ran.”

Soon after corporate heard of the incident they released a statement.

"We learned yesterday that mice got into a restaurant, and we immediately contacted professionals who identified a small structural gap in the building as the likely access point. We’re having it repaired. Additionally, we reached out to the customer to make things right. This is an extremely isolated and rare incident and certainly not anything we’d ever want our customers to encounter.”
