WASHINGTON, DC – SEPTEMBER 01: With the U.S. Capitol dome in the distance, a Delta airplane takes off from Ronald Reagan National Airport September 1, 2017 in Washington, DC. More than 16 million Americans will travel on an airplane to celebrate the Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end of summer, says airline industry trade association Airlines or America. The lobbying groups said major airlines are adding 133,000 seats to handle the passenger uptick. (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

An aggressive passenger aboard Hawaiin Airlines now has to pay a hefty price for the drama he created.

Via Hollywood Unlocked:

James August pleaded guilty after his behavior forced a pilot to return to Honolulu on a non stop flight. August’s behavior began before the plane took off. The altercation occurred in November.

August threatened his girlfriend, her children, fellow passengers and crew members during the flight. He touched a flight attendant on the shoulder with the back of his hand. A federal judge ruled on Monday that August will owe Hawaiian Airlines approximately $98,000. U.S District Judge Susan Oki Molloway sentenced him three years probation back in June.

August is paying out of pocket for the plane maintenance, fuel, landing fee, and re-catering to passengers.
