Bruce Bennett/Getty ImagesAs the recovery from Hurricane Irma begins in Florida, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Florida Panthers, the NHL and the NHL Players Association announced they would join together for a $2.7 million donation to the relief fund.
The NHL and the NHLPA combined to donate $200,000 to the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity for the relief efforts in Houston after Hurricane Harvey.
