UPDATE: Mother Jailed For A Week For Not Vaccinating Her Son

The city of Berlin is facing an outbreak of measles that in recent weeks has led to over 700 cases and one confirmed death of a little boy who had not been vaccinated. Vaccination in Germany is not compulsory by law though the vast majority of parents have their children vaccinated.
A mom in Michigan who was jailed for five-days after refusing to vaccinate her son says she’s outraged and devastated to find out her son has been fully immunized while she was in prison.
The 40-year-old woman was ordered by a judge to vaccinate her 9-year-old boy at the request of the boy’s biological father
When she refused she was sent to jail for a week for contempt of court. And while she was in jail the boy’s dad had his son vaccinated.
