EILAT, ISRAEL - AUGUST 05: (ISRAEL OUT) A Yellow scorpion glows in the dark on August 5, 2013 near Sde Boker in the Negev Desert, Israel. The Negev is second on a list of the world's top ten regional travel destinations for 2013.

A video clip shows a man revealing his pet scorpion – after keeping it in his mouth.

The Miami pet owner then opens his mouth and his black scorpion crawl out. The creature sits on his hand and flexes its giant claws and tail before the clip ends.

Scorpions come in various shapes and sizes but are all characterized by their venomous tail stings. Although painful, scorpion bites are harmless to humans and most in North America can be treated without medical assistance.
