Apparently, The FLU Vaccine Is Only 10% Effective This Year
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - JANUARY 06: A bottle of influenza vaccine is seen in the MinuteClinic at the CVS/pharmacy on January 6, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 2013-2014 influenza season is starting to take off in the United States, with more than half the country reporting widespread cases of flu activity, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC is warning that the flu shot was only 10% effective this year because of the wide spread outbreak.
CONFIRMED! Over 7,000 cases of influenza in America! The issue is that the illness changes constantly and it’s hard to keep up with strains.
I got SO SICK during Thanksgiving weekend that I couldn’t eat for 7-8 days! It’s the one holiday you’re supposed to stuff your face and drink a lot but not for me. At one point I actually thought I might need to go to the hospital because I felt like I was hit by a semi-truck. Be careful and stay home if you think you have the flu because it spreads FAST. My entire family was sick within one week of having symptoms. – Meredith
