BERLIN – OCTOBER 07: German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck sneezes as he arrives for the weekly German government cabinet meeting at the Chancellery on October 7, 2008 in Berlin, Germany. The meeting is taking place in the midst of the international financial crisis that has also hit Germany’s banking system. Steinbrueck and Chancellor Angela Merkel have enacted a series of measures in recent days in response to the crisis in an effort to prevent public panic in Germany and to save one of the country’s biggest banks, Hypo Real Estate.
Sean Gallup/Getty ImagesLike most people who hold in a sneeze one man decided to do it and it sent him to the ER. He pinched his nose and closed his mouth when the 34-year old man heard a popping noise.
Come to find out he ruptured the back of this throat leaving him in extreme pain. He couldn't talk or swallow and immediately went to the hospital.
The sneeze was so forceful it ruptured his pharynx! If you're not sure what the pharynx is... it's the membrane filled cavity right behind the mouth. This sounds painful!
Don't hold your sneeze in anymore!
