Governor Declares State Of Emergency Due To Red Tide In Florida
Governor Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency!!! The impact of red tide in several counties is leading to the breaking news. Red tide is officially in Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
As a result more than $100,000 in additional funding will be given to help in dealing with the red tide impacts.
VISIT FLORIDA will also create a $500,000 emergency grant program to help tourism boards in counties that are affected.
