“Backstreet’s back, Alright!” Yup the Backstreet Boys are heading to the top of the charts with their newest album, DNA and it could the group’s first number one album in 18 years.
Billboard won’t release the numbers until February 3rd, but it’s projected that DNA could sell over 200,000 equivalent album units. The sales were pushed mainly by an album/concert ticket combo that fans could get ahead of their upcoming tour.
The album’s first single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” came in at number 18 on the Pop airplay charts last August, it’s Backstreet’s first top 20 hit since Incomplete back in 2005 which peaked at number 8.
If DNA takes number one on the Billboard 200, it will mark Backstreets tenth top 10 album and their third number one album.
