The 29-year-old man said he forgot about the 9 mm Hi-Point in his backpack and he was arrested on the spot. He said he switched cars earlier in the day and placed the firearm in his backpack to make moving it easier.
Records show that he is not licensed to carry a concealed firearm and was placed under arrest for carrying it without a license.
