A motorcycle-riding Pennsylvania man managed to rescue a bald eagle that was stranded in the middle of a busy highway.

Dandon Miller was on his way home from a motorcycle show in Philadelphia when he spotted the injured bird in the road. He wrapped the bird in his flannel jacket and waited on the side of the road until a bird rescue organization was contacted.

Miller described the experience as “surreal”, saying “She was just looking around, hanging out with me. It was just wild looking into my arms and seeing a bald eagle.”

Rescuers say the eagle is now recovering and will be able to be released into the wild in a few days.
