Nipsey Hussle’s brother Blacc Sam is in a legal battle with the Crips over his brother’s phrase, “The Marathon Continues.”
According to legal documents, Nipsey’s brother filed for a trademark of “The Marathon Continues” on May 28 with the purpose of using the slogan for entertainment and community services.
The Crips, on the other hand, filed a similar trademark for “TMC” to promote community events and “gang intervention” efforts.
Nipsey was a Crip, but his brother wants to keep the name in the family. The U.S. Patent And Trademark Office has confirmed the filings and will decide who profits from the name.
