Police in Hardee County arrested Anthony Richardson on the 4th of July for possessing illegal drugs, and illegally possessing an alligator.
Cops say they found the drugs and gator after stopping Richardson.He admitted he did not have a trapping or hunting license. He also told the cops that a friend had given him the gator, and he planned on releasing it to a nearby river. The alligator was in a black bag with his mouth tapped in the front seat. Richardson was taken to a nearby jail, but the alligator was released into peace river.
