At Least 8 People Were Injured After Lighting Struck On Clear Water Beach
At least eight people were injured after lightning struck Clearwater Beach today!
One man who was hit went into cardiac arrest and he is currently in critical condition at Morton Plant Plant Hospital.At least four others are being transported to area hospitals for treatment, with one suffering from burns. Officials from Clear Water Fire and Rescue say “Beachgoers should take cover and go to a safe place when lightning and thunder are present. As a reminder, Clearwater Fire and Rescue uses the phrase: when you hear the roar, go indoor.”
