Tessa Thompson Will Play Marvel’s First LGBTQ Superhero In The Next ‘Thor’ Movie
During the Marvel Panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, Tessa Thompson was asked what her character Valkyrie would do as the new king of Asgard in the Upcoming Thor movie. Her answer was, she will have to find her queen!
The comment hinted that Valkyrie would be involved in an LGBTQ storyline and the head of Marvel, Kevin Feige confirmed it. The first openly LGBTQ character in the Marvel Universe was technically directory Joe Russo’s short cameo as a gay man grieving his missing parter in ‘Avengers: Endgame”. Thor 4 is set to hit theaters November 5, 2021.
