Sarasota Deputies Tell Us The Minister That Was Arrested For Child Porn Is Also A Sex Offender
Deputies arrested a minister for possessing hundreds of images of child porn!
Reports tell us 66 year old Charles Andrews is a minister at the Osprey Church of Christ. Detectives say they received tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which showed two email accounts belonging to Andrews that were used to download approximately 70 images of child porn. Those email addresses were traced to his home’s IP address.
After getting a search warrant detectives found over 500 images of child porn on Andrews computer, including at least 50 depicting sexual battery of a child. The Sheriffs Office also tell’s us that Andrews is a registered sex offender who was convicted in 06 of second degree sexual abuse in Alabama. They didn’t know because neither of his email addresses nor his social media accounts were reported to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Andrew’s is charged with 500 felony counts of possession of child porn, as well as three counts of failure to meet the registration requirements of a sex offender. He is currently being held without bond .
