Nicki Minaj And Megan Thee Stallion Talk About Collaborating On Instagram Live
Could Nicki Minaj’s barbs and Megan Thee Stallion’s hotties see a collaboration from the two rappers soon?
Over the weekend, Minaj and Megan went on Instagram Live together and surprised their fans by chatting about a possible collaboration.
The conversation started with Megan Thee Stallion excitedly praising Nicki Minaj. “We are gagging right now. We are dead,” she said. “Yes, we love you. Oh my God! Since motherfu**in’ 2008 when I was in eighth grade and I could listen to rap music on my own,” Megan told Minaj.
Minaj and Megan then began talking about education.
“My only regret in life is not going to college,” said Minaj, who graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. “That’s my only whole regret in life. I just wanted to go to college to say I did and have that experience. I always feel like when I see people go to college, I’m living vicariously through them.”
Megan talked about her plans to graduate from college, despite feeling pressure to drop out due to her musical success. The Houston rapper is currently majoring in healthcare administration and is a senior. “Nothing to do with music, I just wanted to open up some assisted living facilities in my city,” the “Realer” rapper explained.
Nicki Minaj said that her “Plan A” was to become an actor prior to pursuing a career in music. Hot Girl Meg then told the “Megatron” rapper how much she loved Minaj’s song “Slumber Party” from her mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty. They both then began rapping and twerking to the song.
“Stop playing with Nicki Minaj like she ain’t the motherfu**in’ GOAT!” said Meg. During the IG Live session that lasted almost 16 minutes, Megan and Minaj chatted about Minaj’s #MegatronChallenge and Megan said that she’s going to drop her “Hot Girl Summer” single soon. “We finally giving them a hot girls summer song,” Megan said.
The Houston rapper then joked about Nicki Minaj being too “busy” to hop on the track, which has a guest appearance by Ty Dolla $ign. Megan Thee Stallion also revealed that she’s about to begin recording her album and wants to collaborate with Minaj. “We need the Queen,” Megan said.
The Queens rapper then gave Megan some advice about her debut. “Don’t overthink it and don’t beat yourself up,” Minaj said. “All the times when I be working on albums, I be stressing myself the f**k out and then when I just kind of let my hair down, so to speak, for like freestyles and stuff, that’s what they love.”
The two concluded the IG Live session by planning to meet up in Los Angeles. “Don’t run from me, friend,” said Meg, while Nicki thanked Megan Thee Stallion for her support.“I really, really appreciate you,” she said. “That means a lot to me, all the nice and all the sweet things that you ever said. It means the world to me.”
