On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Transportation issued it’s final rules of what animals would be cleared to fly as ‘service animals.’ A lot of people will be upset but miniature horses have made the list. The policy states “We believe that it would be in the public interest and within our discretionary authority to prioritize ensuring that the most commonly recognized service animals (i.e., dogs, cats, and miniature horses) are accepted for transport.” The airlines will be punished if they deny access to service animals like snakes, ferrets, rodents and spiders. Airlines have 30 days to comply with information .
