This is a horror story for any parent!

Billy Townsend - Polk School Board District 1 posted to Facebook after being made aware if the claims, below.

A Polk County mother is pleading for help after her young son was intentionally held down at school and beat up in the locker room at Blake Academy in Lakeland, Florida. The assault left the boy with a black eye, bruises and cuts all over his face.

According to her Facebook page, the mother, Lauren Springfield immediately left work after she was called by the nurse at R. W. Blake School and was told their was an incident that involved her son. When she arrived to the school she found her son with several welts on his head, cuts above his eye and several bruises all over his body. Lauren revealed in an online post that her son only has one kidney and that the school fight could have left her son with permanent damage.

Later that evening, other parents aware of the situation started sending her videos of the beat down that was secretly recorded. In the video (three minutes long) you can see a boy beating up another boy while throwing him against the locker, kneeing his ribs and throwing several punches to his body and face. Other students even held the victim down so they could hit him harder so the boy couldn't get away. We do not know what may have happened before the video started or what may have caused the fight or if anyone else was injured.

She still has yet to hear anything back from the school and the only thing they've said back to her is they will handle the situation. This story is still developing...
