Jeremy Renner’s Wife Accuses Him Of Trying To Kill Her
Jeremy Renner is currently in a custody battle with his wife, Sonni, over their daughter, Ava. She is trying to get sole custody; they currently have joint custody.
Per legal docs obtained by TMZ, Sonni alleges that the Avengers actor threatened the safety of his ex-wife and himself. “Jeremy Renner was coked up and drunk when he began rhapsodizing about killing his ex-wife Sonni, and the night ended with the actor shoving a gun in his mouth and threatening to kill himself.”
Sonni also claims that Renner has a history of substance abuse, verbal, and emotional abuse, and has been under the influence while with their daughter. In the documents, Sonni says, “Jeremy once left coke on a bathroom counter which was reachable by Ava.”
Since these allegations came out, Jeremy has responded. He says that his wife is just mad their relationship didn’t work, and he thinks she is trying to make money off of him. He also insists that he is sober and does random drug tests to prove so.
In the documents TMZ has, Renner suggests that timeline of Sonni’s allegations correlate with the release dates of movies that he stars in, allowing her to give him bad press. Renner also says that “Sonni would brag to friends that she had ‘bagged an Avenger’ and joked she wanted to introduce her own friends to fellow Avengers cast members so they could ‘bag an Avenger as well.”
