A university in Alaska has a unique way to fight hunger as well as collect fines for parking tickets.
The University of Alaska-Anchorage will accept payment for unpaid parking fines by peanut butter and jelly. Officials say the food will go to help struggling students.
They will take any nut butter or jelly, jam or marmalade for full or partial payment. The university does this as a yearly tradition. Offenders have until November 8th to pay off the tickets.
