Florida Man Who Killed Child In Hit & Only Gets Two Years In Prison
The man accused of hitting and killing Layla Aiken In Cape Coral last March will spend two years in prison. After he hit her, he fled the scene. Following two years in prison, Logan Hetherington will be required to serve two years of community control, followed by two years of state probation. His license will be suspended for one year. The mother and father are satisfied with the outcome of his deal and in a text message the mother said “I can tell you her father and I are satisfied with the plea deal,” and “We CHOSE this together because this [is] about justice for Layla.”
