Wrestlemania 36 No Longer Taking Place In Tampa With Fans
One of the biggest events set to take over Tampa Bay will no longer be happening.
According to the WWE, Wrestlemania will now be taking place in a closed facility in Orlando, Florida. It will not be open to the public but you will be able to see it on pay-per-view.
The announcement comes as officials are trying to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. There had been many conversations that if the WWE did not cancel the event, Tampa officials would take it into their own hands and cancel the event. The city is trying to prevent the spread of the virus and with such a large scale event, comes a lot of people especially from out of town; 70,000 people were expected for the event at Raymond James Stadium. Along with the main event, there were also several events planned leading up to the event at Amalie Arena and the Tampa Convention Center.
