Xzibit Recalls Eminem Being “Poster Child Of Everything Wrong In America”
Xzibit sat down with HipHopDX to discuss how Eminem was treated during their “Up In Smoke Tour.”
Xzibit says Eminem was the target of social activists who deemed him and his music “violent and misogynistic.” He says there were protestors who would stand outside their concert stops and Eminem was deemed “the poster child of everything wrong with America.”
Eminem’s hardest tour stop was in Toronto and surprisingly his very own hometown of Detroit were he was barred from performing his song, “Kill Yourself.”
“It’s like, first amendment rights. These people are coming to the concert because you think they haven’t heard the records already?” the rapper asked. “They know what they [are going] to see. They know pretty much what we’re gonna be talking about.”
