Gyms have reopened with restrictions.

Governor Ron DeSantis just opened up all gyms at 50% capacity and updated restaurants by allowing them to seat more customers.

This is all part of the Phase 1 plan from Gov. DeSantis called the ‘SAFE. SMART. STEP-BY-STEP’ plan. Here’s a complete breakdown of all the new rules as we progress into a new phase starting today…

RESTAURANTS:
May increase to 50% capacity with proper social distancing and encourage outdoor seating

RETAIL:
May increase capacity to 50%

BARBER SHOPS AND SALONS:
All barber shops, hair and nail salons can reopen but must follow safety protocols.

GYMS AND FITNESS CENTERS:
Can operate up to 50% capacity but machines and surfaces must be self-sanitized after each use

MUSEUMS AND LIBRARIES:
May operate up to 50% capacity if allowed by the local governments

AMUSEMENT PARKS:
Amusement and theme parks must submit reopening plan to the state

PRO SPORTS:
Professional sports teams are welcome in Florida

ELECTIVE SURGERIES:
Elective surgeries may continue as long as theirs plenty of beds open

NURSING HOMES:
Visitation in long-term care facilities not allowed for COVID-19
