In Nicki's comments on social media, Lil Nas X proposed a song he would like to do with Nicki.
Fans called him out on not claiming his Barbz status. They said he had a Barbz Fan Page back in the day.
He responded, I didn't want people to know I was gay tbh. People will assume if you had an entire fan page dedicated to Nicki you are gay and the rap/music industry aint exactly built or accepting of gay men yet.
Nicki responded on, it was a bit of a sting when you denied being a Barb but I understand. Congratulations on building up your confidence to speak your truth.
He continued his apology to Nicki saying he had hoped she didn't see his denial. He said he was afraid of losing everything before he even got the chance.
