Keedron Bryant: Meet The 12-Year Old Who Just Signed To Warner Records
You might have heard of Keedron Bryant: he’s a 12-year-old with a powerful voice and a powerful song about being a young black man in today’s world. “I Just Wanna Live,” written by his mother Johnnetta Bryant, features the lyrics “I’m a young black man doing all that I can.”
A clip of him singing the song went viral, with President Obama, among others, sharing it on social media.
Producer Dem Jointz, who has worked with Rihanna, Brandy and Anderson .Paak, saw the video and produced a track to go under it; that version led to Warner Records signing Bryant. Yesterday, they released the lyric video of a full-produced version of the song. The label has announced that it is donating 100% of its net profits from the song to the NAACP. Check it out below.
