Who Is Exempt From The Mandatory Mask Rule In Hillsborough County?
Members of the Hillsborough emergency policy group voted 3-5 on Monday to implement an executive order that would require the wearing of protective face coverings for Hillsborough county. The approved executive order requires everyone inside a for profit business that is open to the public, wear a mask while social distancing. The ordinance goes into effect on Wednesday June 24 at 5pm.
People exempt from the mandatory mask ordinance.
1. Persons who would be caused impairment due to an existing health condition
2. Persons working in a business or profession that don’t have to interact with other people
3. Persons working in a business or profession where they maintain social distancing from other people
4. Persons working in a business or profession where the use of face covering would prevent them from performing duties
5. persons exercising, while maintaining social distance
6. Persons eating or drinking
7.Public safety, fire or other life safety and health care personnel, as their personal protective equipment requirements will be governed by their respective agencies.
8. This will not apply when a person who is hearing impaired needs to see the mouth of someone wearing a face covering in order to communicate
9. Persons under the age of two
10. Personas observing social distancing guidlines’
