Hillsborough Superintendent Wants To Push Back The First Day Of School
The Hillsborough County School Superintendent is looking to push back the first day of school due to the coronavirus pandemic. Yesterday, Superintendent Davis released a statement saying he is recommending that the Hillsborough County School Board delay the first day of school to August 24th. The original date was August 10. According to Davis “One lesson the pandemic has taught the global community is that plans must be fluid to ensure the best outcomes for individual communities.” The school district is currently consulting with medical experts to determine how they are going to make their decision.
