Hillsborough County School Board Votes To Push Back First Day Of School

Students in Hillsborough County will now return to school later then expected due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The school board voted to move the start date from August 10 to August 24. The delay will give schools two more weeks to prepare their individual COVID-19 response plans while meeting the state’s order to reopen on-campus.Thursday afternoon, the board was still debating some possible details, including the possibility that all classes would begin online.
