In 1992 friends Tom Cook and Joseph Feeney shook hands and promised one another that if one of them ever won the lottery, they would split the money. Well, surprise! Last month Cook bought the winning ticket for $22 million!!!
They took the cash option of $16.7 million, leaving each with $5.7 million after taxes. Now that’s a great friend!
