Tampa Teen Charged With 30 Felonies After Hacking Barack Obama And Bill Gates Twitter
According to reports A tampa teen is responsible for scamming people from prominent twitter accounts . The accounts belonged to Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Elon Musk. Hillsborough state Attorney Andrew Warren has filed 30 felony charges against the 17 year old who hacked the accounts back on July 15th. The kid not only hacked the accounts, but he was trying to scam people out of money, posing to be these individuals. They are calling this the ‘Bit-Con” hack, because the teen was able to scam $100k in bitcoin in just one day. State Attorney Warren released a statement saying.
“These crimes were perpetrated using the names of famous people and celebrities, but they’re not the primary victims here. This ‘Bit-Con’ was designed to steal money from regular Americans from all over the country, including here in Florida. This massive fraud was orchestrated right here in our backyard, and we will not stand for that,”
