Florida Sheriff Facing Charges After Setting His Mistress Up To Be Arrested

According to The Washington Post, Florida Sheriff Darryl Daniels called his deputy claiming he was being followed by a stalker and that he was in danger. After a full investigation, his “stalker” turned out to be his mistress that he was setting up. Daniels called his mistress, Cierra Smith, to meet at their usual spot. Little did Ciara know, he told his wife about their affair. The plan was to set Ciara up to be arrested. His wife was following the two and was filming the whole thing go down. Cierra was a former employee of Darryl’s and the two had been seeing each other for over 5 years. Darryl was put into jail by Florida authorities on Thursday, and has been charged with tampering with evidence, a felony, and three misdemeanor counts of giving false information to other law enforcement officials.
