Jamaicans Are Upset With Adele Over A Picture She Posted
Over the weekend, Adele attended Carnival. If you don’t know what Carnival is, its a festival celebrating different Island cultures. I go all the time, and have a super great experience. During the parades and festivities people usually wear attire that represents the island they are from.There are lot’s of people who attend, who are not from the islands, and they go for the fun. Those people sometimes wear attire that represents an Island that they are not from. Adele attended carnival and wore Jamaican attire, with bantu knots. People are calling her out for cultural appropriation. During the parades everybody is just having a great time, so I personally don’t know anyone who would be offended. I don’t think anyone is trying to cancel Adele, but I think they are just upset.
