Handcuffed Pinellas County Man Drowns After Running From Police And Jumping In The Bay
A handcuffed Pinellas County man drowned after he jumped into Boca Ciega Bay while running from the police. Treasure Island police arrested Donnie Brownlow Jr., after they responded to a domestic disturbance on Sunday. Brownlow was in custody on charges of obstruction, felony driving while licence is suspended, violation of probation and domestic battery. As he was being escorted by an officer to the police car, he ran and then jumped into the bay. The Paramedics rushed to the scene, pulled Brownlow from the water and performed CPR. He was taken to Palms of Pasadena hospital where he passed away around 9:40pm.
