[Video] Bradenton Man Tried Jumping Off The Skyway Bridge After Almost Running Over The Police
A video shows Manatee deputies talking Scott Rapson out of jumping off the Sunshine Skyway bridge last week. It happened after he attempted to run over the cops with his car. The scary incident all started when deputies saw a truck swerving back and fourth. When they tried to pull over Rapson he refused. Eventually, the truck stopped and the deputy tried to do a traffic stop again. They still couldn’t stop him, and he even tried running them over. Rapson then got all the way to the Skyway bridge, pulled over, got out and wanted to jump. Luckily the Manatee deputies were able to talk him down. Rapson was taken into custody, and has been charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, DUI and fleeing to elude.
