Tampa Bay Area School Closures Ahead of Hurricane Eta
Tampa Bay area schools have announced closures ahead of feeling Hurricane Eta’s effects. Hurricane Eta‘s worst is predicted to hit the Tampa Bay area late this afternoon into tomorrow morning. The storm strengthened and shifted east and overnight bringing it closer to the coast of the Tampa Bay area.
Pinellas County Public Schools have announced they are closing early today and will be closed on Thursday as well.
TS ETA UPDATE: In an abundance of caution, ALL Pinellas County Schools will have early dismissal today, Wednesday, Nov. 11 and will be closed tomorrow, Nov. 12.

High Schools: 10:00 a.m.
Elementary Schools: 11:00 a.m.

Pasco Country Public Schools are following suit.
Due to the potential for high winds from Hurricane Eta this afternoon, students and staff will be released early today (Wednesday). All after-school events and activities are canceled. Hillsborough County Public Schools are already closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.
