Polk County Public Schools Athletic Program Suspended Due To Covid-19

Polk County Public Schools have announced that they are temporarily suspending all athletic programs due to the coronavirus. This is effective immediately! According to reports all practices and competitions are canceled until Jan. 4 of next year. This comes after more than 50 student-athletes participating in winter sports tested positive in recent weeks. The Florida department of health says the cases are among cheerleaders, basketball and soccer players, wrestlers and weight lifters.
