A teen is suing the owners of the Fresno Grizzlies because his father died during a taco-eating contest.
In the lawsuit they allege that the owners didn’t properly warn the taco-eating contestants of all the risks when entering. His father named Dana Hutchings collapsed several minutes into the contest because he choked to death on tacos.
His attorney put out a statement saying that “professional competitive eaters train before events, but organizers failed to fully inform Dana Hutchings of the risks to amateur eaters.”
The 18-year-old is asking for major damages to be paid.
