Elevated levels of red tide have been detected at several beaches in Sarasota County, according to Channel 8.

The Florida Department of Health there will be posting signs tomorrow at the following beaches to give notice to beach goers this weekend.

Fortunately right now the levels are low. They say some are experiencing respiratory irritation. The beaches where the warnings will be posted are: Longboat Key, Bird Key Park, North Lido Beach, Lido Casino, South Lido, Siesta Beach, Turtle Beach, Nokomis Beach, and North Jetty Beach.
