The Tampa Bay Lightning raise the banner celebrating winning the Stanley Cup for the 2019-20 NHL season during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on opening night of the 2020-21 NHL season at Amalie Arena.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting the “2021 Bolts Chel Challenge” with registrations live as of 12 p.m. on May 6, 2021. Due to circumstances around the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s tournament will take place online.

Participants will be split into two brackets: one for European and one for North American contestants. European contestants will compete in NHL 21 on PlayStation 4/5 in a 1-on-1 format with the online qualifying being a double elimination bracket moderated by official tournament organizer, League Gaming. North American contestants will compete in NHL 21 on Xbox One/Series X in a 1-on-1 format with the online qualifying being a double elimination bracket also moderated by League Gaming.

European qualifying will take place on the weekend of May 22 – 23, 2021 while the North American qualifying will take place between May 22 – June 13, 2021. The final four participants of each bracket will compete in a final showdown on June 18 (European bracket) and June 19 (North American bracket) with the action streamed LIVE on Twitch.tv/boltsgamingofficial.
