Sheriff’s deputies in Miami were forced to shoot at two foster kids after one of them opened fire on them from a home they broke into.
The foster kids including a 14-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy ran away from a juvenile home and then broke into a house. Inside the home they found an AK-47, a pump shotgun, a handgun, and 200 rounds of ammunition. Right when cops arrived they started to shoot that at them.
Police tried to negotiate with the children for two hours to try and get them to stop.
He said: “Our deputies did everything they could tonight to deescalate and they almost lost their lives to a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old. Where have we gone wrong that a 12-year-old and 14-year-old think it’s okay to take on law enforcement?”
Eventually they returned fire and shot the girl in the abdomen and arm. After the girl was shot, the boy dropped the AK-47 and was arrested.
The girl is now fighting for her life at the hospital.
