Kanye West is suing Walmart for allegedly selling a knockoff version of his well-known foam shoe design, the Yeezy Foam RNNR.

According to gossip web site TMZ, legal documents show that Kanye and his company, Yeezy, claim the retail giant copied his famous Yeezy Foam Runner and left customers unclear whether the shoe is authentic Yeezy's or an imitation.

Kanye claims Walmart could be costing Yeezy hundreds of millions of dollars in sales by allowing their customers to think they're the genuine goods.

Yeezy introduced its Foam Runner in 2019, making its public debut in June of last year. They sold out instantly at $75 USD a pair. Yeezy claims Walmart then made an "unauthorized exact copy" and has been selling it at just under $25 a pair. According to the documents, Walmart knowingly profited from Kanye and his Foam Runner's popularity.

Kanye and Yeezy claim it sent a legal warning to Walmart and told them to pull the shoes from its site, which they haven't done -- so they are suing for major damages. You can find the shoes in question here.
