A homeless woman was severely injured when an alligator bit her after she fell asleep underneath a bridge in South St. Petersburg.
Early in the morning around 6a.m. at the bridge over Salt Creek she went to sleep under the bridge at the the seawall and woke up to a huge alligator biting her arms and legs!
A trapper for the state removed the alligator a few hours later and said it measured 10 feet, 11 inches long.
The woman in her 50s suffered severe injuries to her arms and was rushed to the hospital where she is currently stable.
